With over 80% of the world's reefs being bleached; triggering massive coral die-offs Coral Connectors aims to improve the coral cultivation process through the use of modularity and utilising ocean-safe sustainable materials.
The connectors replaces the use of zip ties for coral gardening by creating a sustainable coral connector. Thus, eliminating the use of plastic materials underwater. The loop form as well as utilizing a malleable material, beeswax, allows the product to be squeezed around the coral and rope initiating the connection. Furthermore, the Coral Connectors has the ability to link together to create a cord structure, additionally eliminating the use of ropes.
