The Late Bloomer Project is a concious clothing intiative that is centered around creating sustainable garments through upcycling second hand clothing and textiles to transform them into new forms.

For their Spring 2020 collection I designed a camp collar shirt out of long sleeved dress shirts. To acheive a boxy fit, I trimmed off a few inches off of the hem of the body and used that fabric as well as the excess material from the sleeves to creat chest pockets to decrease waste as much as possible. Then we embroidered the shirts to give them a work shirt feel. Throughout the process I met with the team to present my ideas via sketches, prototypes, techpacks, graphics, etc. Once, we agreed on the exact style I cut & sewed together the shirts.
